Universal’s PictureBox Player bows

Movie streaming service begins roll out

LONDON — Movies-on-demand subscription service PictureBox, backed by Universal Pictures, has bowed its streaming service, PictureBox Player, in the U.K. and Ireland.

Service is available in these markets on Samsung Internet-connected smart TVs, iPads and PCs.

Further global roll-outs are planned for PictureBox Player, which weekly provides subscribers with 28 current and library movies on-demand.
