Producer praises inventive ends in 'Final Destination 5'

According to producer Craig Perry, the 3D of Warner Bros.’ “Final Destination 5” even got James Cameron’s stamp of approval.

At the Aug. 10 preem at the Chinese, Perry praised helmer Steven Quale. “Steve really understands how to apply 3D to make you feel like you’re present,” Perry said, referencing the first post-premonition death scene. “He responded to the bridge, because you can truly get a sense of vertigo.”

As to the other death scenes, Quale said being inventive proved challenging. “It is hard trying to come up with different ways to kill people. It’s not as easy as you think it would be.”
