Larry Franco has come on to produce Roland Emmerich’s sci-fier “Singularity” with producer Harald Kloser for Columbia Pictures.
Emmerich and Kloser co-wrote the screenplay. Set 40 years in the future, story focuses on the moment when computer technology becomes so advanced that society is on the verge of losing control. “Singularity” has been set for release on May 17, 2013.
Franco previously worked with Emmerich as a producer on “2012” and historical drama “Anonymous,” which opens Oct. 28.
Franco’s other producer credits include “Batman Begins” with Christopher Nolan for Warner Bros. and “Sleepy Hollow” with Tim Burton for Paramount.
