Euro producing org Stage Entertainment has rejiggered a couple of its top exec posts while launching a new arm dedicated to touring legit fare.
As of Aug. 1, Erwin van Lambaart becomes chief content officer; responsibilities include overseeing all international productions (including “The Lion King” in Madrid and “Wicked” in the Netherlands) and leading the company’s international licensing team. His current post, g.m. of the Dutch branch of Stage Entertainment and of Joop van den Ende Theaterproducties, is up for grabs.
Meanwhile, Caspar Gerwe, currently general manager of Stage Entertainment France, will head up a new division called Stage Entertainment Touring Prods., which will produce road versions of tuners including “Mamma Mia!” and “Cabaret” in France. Stage Entertainment’s Holiday on Ice brand will be wrapped into the new division as well.
Stage Entertainment, topped by CEO Henk Kivits, has outposts in eight countries. The vacancy at the head of the Dutch branch is expected to be filled soon.
