New company focuses on Off Broadway productions
Daryl Roth Prods. and management firm The Splinter Group have partnered to launch DR Theatrical Management, a company offering general management, exec producing and event production services for Off Broadway commercial productions, both in New York and on the road.
New org will combine Roth’s in-house management team, headed by Adam Hess, and Splinter Group, which is led by Seth A. Goldstein and reps Off Broadway titles including “The Toxic Avenger” and “ImaginOcean.”
DR Theatrical Management will operate in the same Union Square area where Roth’s Off Broadway venues, the Daryl Roth Theater and the smaller DR2, are located.
Roth, whose Main Stem producing credits include “Proof,” “Caroline, or Change” and “Irena’s Vow,” is also an active commercial players on an Off Broadway landscape that many producers consider particularly challenging to commercial productions.
Client list for the new company includes Roth-produced fare “Love, Loss and What I Wore,” “The Divine Sister” and “Through the Night” as well as “ImaginOcean,” “The Ohmies” and upcoming projects “Tokio Confidential” and “Cactus Flower,” among others.
