Anika Noni Rose and Matthew Broderick have been tapped to announce the 2011 Tony noms.
Rose (“The Princess and the Frog,” “Dreamgirls”) scored a 2004 Tony for her perf in “Caroline, or Change,” while Broderick has won for “Brighton Beach Memoirs” and the 1995 revival of “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.”
Also on hand at the announcement event will be execs from Tony producing orgs the American Theater Wing and the Broadway League, including the Wing’s Theodore S. Chapin and Howard Sherman and the League’s Paul Libin and Charlotte St. Martin.
Rose and Broderick will announce the noms in the legit kudos’ slate of competitive awards May 3 at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts.
The 65th annual award ceremony is set for June 12 at the Beacon Theater.
