Cast set for Kazan play
Amy Irving is among the thesps signed on for “We Live Here,” the new play by Zoe Kazan bowing this fall in an Off Broadway production at Manhattan Theater Club.
Jessica Collins (“Rubicon”) and Jeremy Shamos (“Clybourne Park”) are also on board, portraying a couple whose impending wedding is disrupted by the arrival of the bride’s younger sister and her boyfriend, played respectively by Betty Gilpin and Oscar Isaac (“Robin Hood”). Irving and Mark Blum appear as the bride’s parents.
Sam Gold (“Circle Mirror Transformation”) helms the play by Kazan (“A Behanding in Spokane,” “It’s Complicated”), the writer-thesp who is also at work on a film she wrote and co-stars in with Paul Dano. “We Live Here” was an MTC commission.
Production begins previews Sept. 22 ahead of an Oct. 12 opening at MTC’s Off Broadway space at Gotham’s City Center.
