Road grosses

NEW YORK — Four of the nine shows pulled in more than $1 million in Week 53 (May 23-29). “Mamma Mia!” and “Next to Normal” sat the week out, which combined with moderate declines at most shows to send box office plummeting almost 19%. The Spokane, Wash., production of “Wicked” broke its own house record, while “The Lion King,” aided by favorable exchange rates, took the weekly crown, with more than $1.6 million in sales. The gross for the week was $9,434,047.
