Four boost road grosses

Four of the 10 shows pulled in more than $1 million in Week 22 (Oct. 24-30) as the snowstorm on the East Coast affected grosses. Even with the addition of “Mamma Mia!” in West Palm Beach, Fla., the total box office fell 7.5%, as “Jersey Boys” in Hartford, Conn., had to cancel two Sunday shows due to the weather. The Washington, D.C., staging of “Les Miserables,” continued to lead all shows with more than $1.6 million in sales, and posted a house record, as did “Wicked” in Peoria, Ill. Total gross for the week was $8,555,216.
