'Magic Bird' set to open on Broadway in spring
Kevin Daniels has been tapped to portray Los Angeles great Magic Johnson in the upcoming Broadway play “Magic Bird.”
Legit production, from producers Fran Kirmser and Tony Ponturo in association with the NBA, is set to open in Gotham in the spring. “In the Heights” and “Lombardi” helmer Thomas Kail is directing the play penned by Eric Simonson (“Lombardi”).

Daniels has plenty of legit experience, including “Twelfth Night” and “Suge Knight.” On the smallscreen, Daniels has appeared in recent episodes of “Modern Family,” “Franklin and Bash” and “House.”
