Daly takes diva to London

Broadway 'Master Class' to play West End

LONDON — Tyne Daly will make her London debut in January 2012 reprising her turn as Maria Callas in the West End transfer of “Master Class.”

Produced in London by Max Cooper, Maberry Theatricals, the Marks-Moore-Turnbull Group, Ted Snowdon and Sonia Friedman Prods. in association with Manhattan Theater Club, the production runs Jan. 21 – Apr. 28 at the Vaudeville theater with a Feb. 7 press night.

Terrence McNally’s drama about legendary diva Maria Callas originally opened at Washington’s Kennedy Center before opening at MTC’s Samuel J. Friedman Theater in Gotham this year. The creative team for Stephen Wadsworth’s production remains intact. Additional London casting will be announced shortly.
