Classic Stage Company’s revival of Anton Chekhov’s “The Cherry Orchard” will continue for two weeks longer than originally skedded at the Off Broadway house. Upcoming production of the classic Russian tragicomedy stars John Turturro and Dianne Wiest, and will now run through Dec. 30. Previews begin Nov. 16, with a press opening skedded for Dec. 4.
The play is directed by Andrei Belgrader in a translation by John Christopher Jones, and will be the last in CSC’s five-season voyage through Chekhov’s plays. (Wiest also starred in the theater’s production of “The Seagull.”)
