One more to be added to season for L.A. company

Cabaret” and “The Baker’s Wife” are on tap for the Reprise Theater Company’s 2011-12 season of musical revivals, with one more show still to be added.

Season of concert stagings launches with “Cabaret” (Sept. 13-25), the 1966 Kander and Ebb tuner that was most recently seen on Broadway in a longrunning Roundabout Theater Company revival that opened in 1998.

Cult-fave “Baker’s Wife” (Feb. 14-26, 2012), from Stephen Schwartz (“Wicked”) and Joseph Stein (“Fiddler on the Roof”), originated in a 1976 tour but never made it to Broadway. Storyline, about a baker and his wife in a small French town, is based on the 1938 film by Marcel Pagnol and Jean Giono.

The to-be-determined final offering of the season will run April 17-29, 2012, with all productions set to play UCLA’s Freud Playhouse.

Reprise’s production of “Gigi” is currently on the boards. Jason Alexander is the company’s a.d.
