Are these the bleeps that will cause CBS to lose sleep?

Tonys Preview: The Lyrics

They are the lyrics that you will never hear on the Tonys.

In act one of “The Book of Mormon,” a couple of young missionaries arrive in Uganda to hear the locals singing “Hasa Diga Eebowai!” which expresses their deprivation-weary theology. When one of them asks what the song means, they are given the English translation: “Fuck you, God … fuck you in the eye!”

It raises the question: What lyrics by Robert Lopez, Trey Parker and Matt Stone will CBS allow? Even “Turn It Off” could run into trouble, with the male missionaries singing lyrics like “So if you ever feel you’d rather be with a man/turn it off” and “Like a light switch on a cord/Now he isn’t gay anymore.”

There goes a good chunk of Broadway’s aud.
