Josh Brolin and Kate Winslet are set to star in Jason Reitman’s “Labor Day.”
Reitman is writing and directing and will produce through his Right of Away Films banner.
The story is set in New Hampshire over Labor Day weekend, where an awkward young boy meets a stranger who teaches him important life lessons. Winslet will play the boy’s mother, with Brolin as the stranger.
It marks Reitman’s first pic since his Oscar nomination for writing and directing “Up in the Air” for Paramount.
Winslet was most recently seen in HBO’s “Mildred Pierce” and Brolin is about to start filming “Gangster Squad” for Warner Bros.
They are both repped by CAA.
