WB buys Ferrell pitch, ‘Swear to God’

'Due Date' writers penning laffer about narcissistic hedge fund manager

Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland have sold the pitch “Swear to God” to Warner Bros with Will Ferrell attached to star.

Cohen and Freedland will pen the script, a comedy about a narcissistic hedge fund manager who thinks he’s seen God.

Jon Berg is the exec for WB that will oversee the project.

Cohen and Freedland are best known for writing “Due Date” starring Robert Downey Jr. and most recently wrote “The Reunion” for Universal.

They are repped by WME and Mosaic.
