It was a family affair at the premiere of “The Way” at the Nokia Theater Friday afternoon.
Not only did father-son duo Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez team up for the movie but Charlie Sheen also showed up, eliciting screams from fans outside.
“This is the closest role I think he’s ever played to himself,” Estevez said of his father. “People know him from ‘Apocalypse Now,’ people know him from ‘Badlands.’ He’s not a killer, right? He’s just not.”
Sheen thanked his helmer son, because he “incorporated all the things that would make the film something that an old guy could do.”
