Vince Vaughn to ‘Lay the Favorite’

Exclusive: Vince Vaughn is in talks to join the independent film “Lay the Favorite.”

Rebecca Hall and Bruce Willis are already set to star, with Stephen Frears directing.

Pic is based on the life of Beth Raymer, a professional gambler who started as a cocktail waitress in Las Vegas but rose to become one of the world’s best gamblers. After falling in love, Raymer begins to re-evaluate her life and the profession she has chosen.

Randall Emmett will produce through his Emmett/Furla Films shingle along with Anthony Bregman, D.V. DeVincentis and Paul Trijbits. Peter Gethers will exec produce.

Vaughn was last seen in Universal’s “The Dilemma.” He is repped by CAA.
