Aibel, Berger to adapt popular Hasbro board game

Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger have been tapped to pen “Candy Land,” Universal’s adaptation of Hasbro’s enduring board game.

Kevin Lima is onboard to helm, with Brian Goldner set to produce. Etan Cohen wrote the first draft of “Candyland.”

Goldner described the pic in 2009 as “an adventure that a kid goes on with his parents when they go across that board.”

Pic was the first project to emerge from the six-year deal U cut with Hasbro in 2008.

Aibel and Berger’s credits include “Kung Fu Panda.”

The duo is repped by WME.
