Universal buys Paula Pell, Tina Fey pitch

'SNL' writer and alum behind comedy

Universal Pictures has acquired an unititled comedy pitch from longtime “Saturday Night Live” and “30 Rock” writer Paula Pell and attached Tina Fey to produce through her Little Stranger shingle.

Studio’s keeping the logline under wraps.

Fey’s not attached to star. Pell has appreared as “Paula Hornberger,” a recurring character on “30 Rock.”

Erik Baiers and Maradith Frenkel will oversee the project for the studio.

Pell is represented by WME. Fey is represented by WME, 3 Arts Entertainment and Ziffren Brittenham.
