TWC snags ‘Bully Project’

Doc premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival

The Weinstein Company has picked up all rights to ”The Bully Project,” the doc that bowed this weekend at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Helmer Lee Hirsch’s film follows five adolescents who are bullied in school. Hirsch and Cynthia Lowen produce.

Distribution pact covers all rights in North America, the U.K., Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Germany. In addition, TWC acquired rights for pan-Asian satellite TV, and will be the sales agent for remaining international territories. Deal was negotiated by Peter Lawson and Dan Guando, both of TWC, with Submarine Entertainment’s Josh Braun and David Koh.
