LONDON — The British Film Institute has appointed Christopher Travers to the newly created role of director of marketing, communications and audiences.
Travers, who joins the BFI mid-October, will report to CEO Amanda Nevill and sit on the executive board.
He will lead the communications and audience teams. His mission also includes strategic and commercial marketing, public affairs and government relations, corporate and consumer press and PR, membership, and audience and customer experience.
Travers previously worked as director of strategy and communications for the country’s Royal Parks, where he was responsible for leading commercial development for activities and events including London’s Hyde Park concert season and the royal wedding celebrations. He also worked at the BBC for more than 10 years in various senior marketing roles. – — Diana Lodderhose
