Tina Fey circles Universal’s ‘Admission’

Paul Weitz comedy about college admissions officer

Tina Fey is in discussions to star in Universal’s “Admission.”

Based on the 2009 novel by Jean Hanff Korelitz, pic is being helmed by Paul Weitz and focuses on a Princeton admissions officer and her relationship with a potential student who may not live up to the university’s standards.

Karen Croner will pen the script with Weitz and Kerry Kohansky Roberts producing through his Depth of Field shingle.

Fey continues to be seen on TV’s “30 Rock” and provided voice talent for the DreamWorks Animation pic “Megamind.” Weitz is in theaters with “Little Fockers.”

Fey is repped by WME.
