Technicolor is bolstering its animated content development and production efforts by adding three key execs to the team.
Formerly a producer and head of production for SD Entertainment, Robert Winthrop has been appointed VP of animation and games for Technicolor Digital Productions. He will oversee more than 500 animators working in TV, direct-to-DVD, games, theatrical films and other areas.
Alison Warner assumes the role of VP of intellectual properties, sales, acquisitions and co-productions for Technicolor Digital. She will develop sales strategies for in-house animated properties and serve as a European liason. Warner will be based out of London. She previously served as VP of European sales for Cookie Jar Entertainment.
Finally, Suji Thomas has been named creative director at Technicolor India. He assumes the position with more than 15 years experience in the animation biz, including 12 as an animation director. Thomas previously held creative head positions at both DQ Entertainment and Millimages.
