Chris Weitz' father-son drama to hit theaters June 24
“Life” centers on the problems faced by a hard-working illegal immigrant in Los Angeles when his truck is stolen and efforts by him and his son to recover the vehicle.
Roger Simon wrote the original script with Eric Eason penning the revised version.
Weitz had announced the project, then called “The Gardener,” in late 2009 and shot the film last spring and summer in Los Angeles. Weitz produced “Life” along with Stacey Lubliner, Jami Gertz, Paul Junger Witt and Christian McLaughlin.
Disney/Pixar’s “Cars 2” and Sony’s “Bad Teacher” have already been set to open on June 24.
