Stanley Tucci set for ‘Hunger Games’

Actor to play flamboyant host Caesar Flickerman

Stanley Tucci has been cast in Lionsgate’s “The Hunger Games” as Caesar Flickerman, the flamboyant host of the annual death match at the center of the futuristic tale.

Based on the bestselling novel by Suzenne Collins, “Games” follows Katniss — played by Jennifer Lawrence, as Variety first reported — a young woman selected to represent her district in a televised fight to the death.

Gary Ross is directing. Nina Jacobson’s Color Force will produce with Jon Kilik.

Tucci (“The Devil Wears Prada,” “The Lovely Bones”) is repped by CAA.
