Sony threw a friendly — at times, too friendly — bash Thursday in anticipation of its DVD launch of “The Social Network.” One guest found herself quickly escorted out of the Spago-hosted event after getting too social with the filmmakers.
But that didn’t dampen the mood as Jesse Eisenberg was seen milling about with co-stars Justin Timberlake, Andrew Garfield and Armie Hammer plus helmer David Fincher.
Eisenberg described his recent “Social Network” popularity as “compensating for the first 26 years of my life…. And as overwhelming as this is for me, there’s this cultural embrace of the movie that makes it hard for me to figure out my place in it.”
As for whether homevid viewers will see embarrassing moments on the DVD extras, Timberlake quipped, “I cut all that out.”
