Soap actors say ‘Excuse Me’

Trio ready for indie romantic comedy

Soap vets Tom Pelphrey (“Guiding Light”), Melissa Archer (“One Life to Live”) and Ewa da Cruz (“As the World Turns”) will star in indie romantic comedy “Excuse Me for Living” with an ensemble of thesps that incudes Christopher Lloyd, Robert Vaughn, Jerry Stiller and Dick Cavett.

Pic from writer-helmer Ric Klass follows a rich med student (Pelphrey) whose suicide attempt lands him with a doctor (Vaughn) who forces him to quit drugs and join a geriatric men’s group. Med student soon falls for the doctor’s daughter, played by Archer.

Wayne Knight, James McCaffrey, David A. Gregory and Tonja Walker also appear.

Klass produces “Excuse Me,” which begins filming this month in Gotham and Westchester.
