Alloy Entertainment is programming its forthcoming sci-fi book “The Robot” for the bigscreen, hiring “The Legendary McClouds” and “Maintenance” scribe Joe Ballarini to adapt the script.
Sources say deal was in the low six figures.
Alloy Entertainment’s Leslie Morgenstein and Bob Levy are producing. No director is currently attached.
“The Robot,” by Paul Watson, centers around two teenagers who must stop a robotic assassin from starting World War III. It’s set for a July 21 release.
Ballarini is currently writing “McClouds,” which has Charlize Theron attached to star.
Ballarini is repped by APA and Apostle.
