Lionsgate will open Arnold Schwarzenegger’s actioner “The Last Stand” on Jan. 18, 2013.
Minimajor made the announcement Wednesday, two weeks after the former governor officially confirmed that he’d decided to resume his acting career — which had been on hold for the previous two months — with the project.
“Last Stand” is produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and directed by South Korean helmer Kim Jee-Woon. Border town-set pic centers on a sheriff dealing with an escaped drug cartel leader heading for the Mexican border.
“Last Stand” is the only title dated for January 2013. WB set “The Seventh Son” for Feb. 15, 2013.
