Russell, Universal talk comic pic ‘Guns’

Vince Vaughn stars, Marc Platt is producing pic

David O. Russell is in negotiations to direct and rewrite an adaptation of the Boom!Studios comic book “Two Guns” for Universal Pictures.

Pic will star Vince Vaughn and revolves around an undercover DEA agent and naval intelligence officer who, without knowing it, are investigating each other for stealing money from the mob.

Marc Platt is producing through his Marc Platt Productions along with Andrew Cosby and Ross Ritchie from Boom!Studios.

Blake Masters penned the previous draft.

Russell recently directed “The Fighter,” for which he just received a DGA award nomination.

He is repped by CAA.
