Royal Road chases ’13th Man’

Company buys feature rights to spy thriller

Royal Road Entertainment has acquired feature rights to Enio Rigolin’s spy thriller spec “The 13th Man.”

Rigolin’s script, named to the 2010 Black List, centers on a mail clerk turned code breaker who’s thrust into the fledgling C.I.A. to stop an elite squad of Nazi saboteurs from destroying the U.S. on its own soil.

Filip Jan Rymsza and Liz Federowicz of Royal Road Entertainment are producing, with Stephen Gilchrist co-producing.

Rymsza said, “Enio wrote a script that’s as smart and clever as it is fun.”

Royal Road, founded last year Rymsza and Liz Federowicz, acquires, develops, finances and produces properties for a global

market, with an emphasis on co-production and government subsidies.

Rigolin is repped by Shan Ray at the Kaplan-Stahler Agency and Mikhail Nayfeld, Markus Goerg & Richard Hillenbrand at Heroes and Villains Entertainment.
