'Soul Surfer' premiere brings out da kine
Celebs and surfers mixed at “Soul Surfer” premiere on March 30 at the Arclight Hollywood’s Cinerama Dome.
Bethany Hamilton, the surfer who survived a shark attack minus an arm and on whom story the film is based, and her family welcomes guests with leis.
At the the Boulevard 3 afterparty AnnaSophia Robb, who plays the lead, hung out with co-stars Dennis Quaid, Helen Hunt and Carrie Underwood, plus director/co-writer, Sean McNamara with guests Hilary Duff, Joe Jonas, and Greg Kinnear came to show their support along with Dillon Perillo, Alana Blanchard, and Lakey Peterson.
“We were so lucky to have such a fantastic cast who really put their all in to the film and to the Hamilton family for sharing their story,” said Bob Berney, president of theatrical distribution at FilmDistrict, which is releasing the film along with TriStar.
