Weinberg Award winners announced on Feb. 25

Hollywood union publicists have tapped campaigns for Universal’s “Despicable Me,” Warner Bros.’ “Inception,” Sony’s “The Social Network,” Disney’s “Toy Story 3,” Paramount’s “Waiting for ‘Superman’” and Fox’s “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” as nominees for its Maxwell Weinberg award.

The publicists also tapped the campaigns for CBS’ “The Big Bang Theory,” from Warner Bros. Television; Fox’s “Fringe”; ABC’s “The Good Wife,” from CBS Prods.; CW’s “The Vampire Diaries,” from Warner Bros. Television; and AMC’s “The Walking Dead” for the Weinberg TV award.

Recipients will be announced at the 48th annual Intl. Cinematographers Guild’s Publicists Awards lunch on Feb. 25 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

“These campaigns represent the creativity and enterprise that entertainment publicists apply to attract the largest possible audiences for programs they represent,” said awards committee chairman Henri Bollinger.

The publicists are part of the ICG, which operates as Local 600 of the Intl. Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees.
