Phase 4 goes day-and-date

Distributor kicks off VOD push with 'Sassoon,' others

Distributor Phase 4 Films is branching into VOD, going day-and-date with theatrical and VOD releases for films including hairstylist doc “Vidal Sassoon The Movie” as well as “Brotherhood” and “Iranium.”

Craig Teper’s “Sassoon” will have its VOD release Feb. 11, simultaneous with the launch of its Gotham theatrical run.

Helmer Will Canon’s thriller “Brotherhood” is lined up for VOD Feb. 18, when the pic opens a run in Dallas, while Iran-nuke doc “Iranium” is already available on demand.

Phase 4 is also gearing up to launch a slate of VOD preems including “Veronika Decides to Die,” starring Sarah Michelle Gellar and Erika Christensen, and Steve Austin topliner “Knockout.”
