PGA sets ‘Produced By Conference’ sked

Cherry, Gordon, Weinstein to speak at confab

The Producers Guild of America and the Assn. of Film Commissioners Intl. have set Disney Studios as the site for the PGA’s Produced By Conference and AFCI’s Locations Show — both on June 3-5.

The orgs made the announcement Tuesday along with the initial Produced By speaker lineup including Sean Bailey, Marc Cherry, Mark Gordon, Marshall Herskovitz, Gale Anne Hurd, Mark Johnson, Damon Lindelof, Simon Lythgoe, Lauren Shuler Donner and Harvey Weinstein.

The orgs decided last fall to hold their events at the same location. The two previous PGA conferences have been held at the Fox and Sony lots.

The conference will include more than 20 conference sessions, panel discussions, mentoring roundtables, networking opportunities, social events and workshops. Topics include new media, global finance, producer/director collaboration, distribution, independent film, scripted television, reality television, digital content and brand identity.

Other speakers: Joe Berlinger, Jason Blum, Ian Bryce, Adam Chapnick, Albert Cheng, Joseph Chianese, Kris Eber, Jon Fougner, Nolan Gallagher, Tim Gibbons, John Hadity, Dana Harris, Barry Jossen, Hawk Koch, Paul Kontonis, Andrew Marlowe, Lori McCreary, Keri Putnam, John Sloss, Ricky Strauss, William Stuart, Larry Tanz, Chris Thomes, David Tochterman and Hayma “Screech” Washington. “The slate of panels, sessions and roundtables that are shaping up for this year’s event are extremely unique and exciting–offering attendees the chance for unprecedented access to some of the industry’s leading producers, providing both education and inspiration,” said Rachel Klein, event co-chair.
