PGA pacts with SPAA

Aim is to encourage members to explore co-prods

The Producers Guild of America and Screen Producers Assn. of Australia have entered into an affiliation agreement aimed at encouraging members to explore co-production opportunities.

PGA International Committee chair Stu Levy and SPAA president Brian Rosen made the announcement Monday at the annual SPAA conference in Sydney.

“In this increasingly global world, this affiliation will encourage Australian and American producers to work together to ideally overcome the challenges they face in the current industry environment,” said Levy in a statement.

SPAA said it plans to send a delegation of its members to attend the PGA’s annual Produced By Conference and related Producers Showcase competition in June.
