Paladin stays ‘Connected’

Documentary to get fall release

Distributor Paladin has picked up rights to Tiffany Shlain’s doc “Connected: An Autoblogography About Love, Death and Technology” for a fall theatrical release.

Film, which bowed as part of the docu competish at Sundance earlier this year, chronicles Shlain’s family history as well as her investigation of the interconnections between the major issues of the 21st century.

The founder of the Webby Awards, Shlain had two pics at Sundance this year including the short “Yelp: With Apologies to Allen Ginsberg’s ‘Howl.'” “Connected,” a co-production of the Moxie Institute and Impact Partners, was exec produced by Geralyn Dreyfous, Sarah Johnson Redlich and Pamela Tanner Boll.

“Connected” joins a Paladin lineup that includes the recent release of Tom Shadyac’s “I Am” as well as the upcoming summer bow of doc “Love Etc.” Movie will open in San Francisco in September ahead of stints in other markets, including L.A. and Gotham.
