John Williams nommed for 'War Horse' and 'Tintin'

Close to 100 original scores have been deemed eligible for the 84th Academy Awards, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced Thursday.

Within the 97 eligible scores are five-time Oscar winner John Williams, who’s eligible for ”The Adventures of Tintin” and ”War Horse,” as well as Oscar-nominated composers Alan Silvestri (”Captain

America: The First Avenger”) and Mark Isham (”The Conspirator,”

”Dolphin Tale,” ”Warrior”).
