Oscar nominating ballots due Friday

Michael J. Seligman returns to show as supervising producer

The deadline for Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences members to return Oscar nominating ballots to PricewaterhouseCoopers is 5 p.m. Friday. Ballots received after that deadline will not be counted.

Most categories will be tabulated using the preferential voting system.

Michael B. Seligman has been named supervising producer for the Oscar telecast, producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer announced. The 83rd Oscars will mark Seligman’s 34th year with the show. Seligman most recently served as supervising producer for “Stand Up to Cancer,” which raised more than $80 million for cancer research.

Oscar nominations will be announced Jan. 25 at 5:30 a.m. PT.

The Academy Awards will be presented on Feb. 27 at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood.
