DreamWorks has added Olivia Wilde to family drama “Welcome to People,” opposite Chris Pine and Elizabeth Banks.
Pic marks the directorial debut of Alex Kurtzman, who penned the script with writing/producing partner Roberto Orci and Jody Lambert. He’s set to start shooting this month.
“Welcome to People” tells the story of a young businessman (Pine) who returns home after his estranged father’s death only to discover a surprising family secret — that he has an older sister (Banks) he never knew about and a young nephew.
Wilde will portray the girlfriend of Pine’s character. She’s in “Tron: Legacy” and will be seen next in DreamWorks’ “Cowboys and Aliens” in July.
Kurtzman and Orci are producing via their DreamWorks-based Paper Products shingle with Bobby Cohen.
