Helmer juggling other pic options, including 'Salt' sequel
Phillip Noyce is set to direct “The Arrangement” for Mandate Pictures.
Original idea was developed inhouse, with Brian Tucker penning the script. Mandate prexy Nathan Kahane is producing.
Story follows a married woman who makes a deal to spend three days with a wealthy man in exchange for a loan and must choose between him and her husband.
“Phil Noyce’s deftness with genre combined with compassion for his characters made him a perfect match for what we hope will be a real watercooler movie,” Kahane said.
No production start date has been set, so the helmer may have to choose from among a handful of projects the film he would direct first. Noyce is onboard to direct the Relativity pic “Timeless,” with Liam Hemsworth attached.
Noyce is already involved in the casting of “Timeless,” so more than likely it will go into production first. He would then follow with “The Arrangement.”
Noyce is also directing and exec producing ABC frosh drama “Revenge,” which recently got picked up for a full season.
He is repped by UTA, Cameron’s Management and Ziffren Brittenham.
