Nov. bow for ‘Son of No One’

Anchor Bay acquired film out of Sundance

Anchor Bay Films has set a Nov. 4 release date in 10 markets for police thriller “The Son of No One,” which closed Sundance this year.

Anchor Bay, which acquired the film shortly after it screened at Sundance, said that it’s worked with the filmmakers to tighten some of the sequences. Pic stars Al Pacino, Juliette Binoche, Channing Tatum, Tracy Morgan, Katie Holmes and Ray Liotta.

Tatum portrays a cop who gets in over his head when he’s assigned to a double-homicide cold case in his Queens neighborhood; new information on the murders fed by an anonymous source to a local reporter (played by Binoche) suggests a possible cover-up by the former lead detective on the investigation, portrayed by Pacino.

Pic was written and directed by Dito Montiel. John Thompson, Holly Wiersma and Montiel produced, and Avi Lerner, Danny Dimbort, Trevor Short, Boaz Davidson, Cassian Elwes, Trudie Styler, Alex Francis and Jake Pushinsky exec produced.
