Nolte in talks for ‘Company You Keep’

Thesp would join LaBeouf, Redford in political thriller

Exclusive: “Warrior” star Nick Nolte is in negotiations to join Shia LaBeouf and Robert Redford in the political thriller “The Company You Keep.”

Redford directs and stars as a former militant wanted by the FBI who must go on the run when his true identity is exposed by an ambitious young reporter, to be played by LaBeouf.

Voltage Pictures and Redford’s Wildwood Enterprises are teaming on the Lem Dobbs-scripted pic, which is based on the novel by Neil Gordon.

Redford and Bill Holderman are producing along with Voltage’s Nicolas Chartier, while Craig J. Flores is exec producing.

Nolte next stars as the father of Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton’s in Gavin O’Connor’s mixed martial arts drama “Warrior,” which Lionsgate opens Sept. 9. Thesp recently appeared in WB’s “Arthur” remake and can currently be heard as Bernie the Gorilla in Sony/MGM’s “Zookeeper.”

Nolte is repped by CAA.
