It may not be “Toy Story 4,” but Woody and Buzz Lightyear will be back on the bigscreen in “Small Fry,” an Angus MacLane-directed short that will bow Nov. 23, attached to prints of “The Muppets.”
Disney and Pixar made the announcement at Disney’s D23 Expo on Friday.
No word on the plot, but with “Toy Story 3” raking in more than $1 billion worldwide, it’s safe to say that the short will only help “The Muppets” at the box office.
Pic could likely use the boost, as it competes for family auds with Martin Scorsese’s “Hugo” and Sony’s animated pic “Arthur Christmas,” both of which are being released in 3D.
The “Toy Story” toons were last seen in the short “Hawaiian Vacation,” which screened before “Cars 2.”
