Monterey acquires N. American rights to ‘Bobby’

Pic marks Janssen's writing, directorial debut

Monterey Media has acquired all North American rights to Famke Janssen’s writing and directorial debut “Bringing Up Bobby.”

“Bobby,” produced by Sofia Sondervan and Janssen, stars Milla Jovovich, Bill Pullman and Marcia Cross. The film premiered recently at the Deauville Film Festival and will have its U.S. premiere at the Savannah Film Festival in November, followed by a theatrical release before the end of the year.

Jovovich portrays a European con artist who finds herself living in Oklahoma with her 10-year-old American-born son. As they blithely their way from one comical adventure to another, her criminal past finally catches up with her.
