McLendon-Covey picks up ‘Trash’

'Bridesmaids' thesp riffs on 'Christmas Carol'

Wendi McLendon-Covey is set to star in the indie “A White Trash Christmas.”

Ron Carlson will helm from a script he co-wrote with Terri Hauffman.

Set in the vein of “A Christmas Carol,” story follows a whiskey-soaked, trashy mother who is visited by three ghosts who try to show her a path to a brighter future.

Carlson and Rachel North will produce.

McLendon-Covey is best known for her role in the Universal laffer “Bridesmaids” and just finished work on the Warner Bros. pic “Magic Mike.”

She is repped by John Carrabino Management.
