Directed by Juan Felipe Orozco and written by Carlos Esteban Orozco (“At the End of the Spectra”), the film stars Edgar Ramirez (“Carlos”), Ricardo Velez, Carolina Gomez, Salvador del Solar and Patrick Delmas. Story centers on a former guerilla rebel seeking a fresh start when his daughter is kidnapped. “The Orozco brothers, based in Colombia, are creating some of the most exciting and visceral cinema to come from Latin America and we’re proud to bring their edgy new film with a gripping performance by Edgar Ramirez to the U.S. market,” said Tonantzin Esparza, director of acquisitions. “Saluda al Diablo de mi parte” (Greetings to the Devil) is among a number of pics from Colombia that are approaching Colombia’s drug trafficking issues from fresh angles. “It was fortuitous for us that Edgar worked on “Carlos” where he has received so much acclaim,” Orozco said. “Having him as the lead has raised our film’s profile considerably.” James Wan will helm the English-language remake, “Spectre,” of Orozco’s debut feature with Nicole Kidman producing and starring.
