Martin Scorsese and his pic’s Parisian troop stepped out onto London’s red carpet Monday for the royal premiere of Paramount’s “Hugo.”
The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall were guests of honor for the special annual screening, in association with the Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund.
Scorsese claimed this was his first regal screening. “The subject matter of my previous films doesn’t normally lend itself to this kind of thing, but here we have a very nice family film!” he said.
Lead talent including Ben Kingsley, Chloe Grace Moretz and Asa Butterfield greeted fans, along with producer Graham King and the novel’s scribe, Brian Selznick, before heading inside ahead of meeting the royal couple.
Afterward, guests journeyed toward the Thames for the Corinthia Hotel after-party, which continued late into the night.
