'Blind Side' actress closes deal to star in fairy tale

After a long search, Relativity Media has found its Snow White, as Lily Collins has sealed a deal to star in Tarsem Singh’s untitled pic based on the Brothers Grimm fairy tale.

Melissa Wallack and Jason Keller penned the script; Relativity’s Ryan Kavanaugh will produce along with Bernie Goldmann and Brett Ratner.

Project, which is Relativity’s biggest production to date, finds Snow White banding together with seven quarrelsome dwarfs to reclaim her kingdom.

Julia Roberts is set to play the Queen, and Armie Hammer was recently cast as Prince Andrew Alcott.

“Snow White” is scheduled to begin production this May, and Relativity will release the film on June 29, 2012.

Collins, daughter of musician Phil Collins, broke out playing Sandra Bullock’s daughter in “The Blind Side.” She next stars in Screen Gems’ “Priest” and Lionsgate’s Taylor Lautner thriller “Abduction.”

Collins is repped by CAA and Roar.
